Setting Up Microsoft Authenticator
Step 1: Download the Microsoft Authenticator Application
For iOS Users:
Open the App Store on your iPhone.
Search for "Microsoft Authenticator."

Tap "Get" to download and install the application.
For Android Users:
Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
Search for "Microsoft Authenticator."

Tap "Install" to download and install the application.
Step 2: Register the Microsoft Authenticator Application
Open the Application:
Once installed, open the Microsoft Authenticator application on your device and accept any security or permissions when offered
Add Your Account:
Tap on the "+" icon or "Add account."
Select "Work or school account."
Scan the QR Code:
On your computer, navigate to Microsoft Outlook and log in using your company email address.
You will be prompted to set up additional security verification. Click on "Next."
A QR code will appear on your screen. Use the Microsoft Authenticator app to scan this QR code.
Complete the Setup:
Follow the prompts on your phone to complete the setup.
Approve the sign-in request in the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Step 3: Logging in to Outlook
Open Your Web Browser:
Navigate to Outlook Online.
Enter Your Credentials:
Enter your company email address and click "Next."
Enter your password and click "Sign in."
Two-Step Verification:
You will receive a notification on your Microsoft Authenticator app.
Approve the sign-in request from your mobile device.
Access Your Outlook Mailbox:
Once approved, you will be logged into your Outlook mailbox and other Microsoft 365 services.
Troubleshooting Tips
Cannot Scan QR Code: If you are unable to scan the QR code, select "Can't scan image?" on the setup page, and you will receive a code to manually enter into the Microsoft Authenticator app.
No Notification Received: Ensure that your mobile device has an internet connection and that notifications for the Microsoft Authenticator app are enabled.
Authentication Code Already Used: Sometimes the QR code expires before you can scan it, if you get this error, delete the Nassau Guardian account from the Authenticator app and retry the process of signing in and scanning the QR code again.
